Daniel Rozier is a Lieutenant currently assigned to Station 7 on "C-Shift".

Eric Smth

Eric joined IFD in March of 2008. He is a Lieutenant currently assigned to Station 2 on C-Shift and is a Technical Search Specialist with Texas Task Force 2. Eric is now serving his fourth term as an IPFFA Executive Board member having completed the TSAFF training class on Texas Laws Effecting Fire Fighters and member representation.

Charles Yancey

Charlie is a Driver with the Irving Fire Department and is currently assigned to our Technical Rescue Team at Station 6, A-Shift. This is his first term as Secretary for the IPFFA after serving a year as a trustee.

Who is the Chaplain?

Jimmie R. Duncan (aka -"JR"), has been our Chaplain since 1999 in addition to his normal duties as a Driver assigned to Station 7B.

Why do we have a Chaplain?

  • To meet emotional & spiritual needs of IFD members and families.
  • To prepare the department through CISM training for crisis events
  • To conduct CISM interventions after traumatic events
  • To promote the well-being of our members
  • To enhance the overall image of our department in the community.
  • (CISM) = Critical Incident Stress Management

What does the Chaplain do?

The Chaplain is here to assist fire department members and their families in times of crisis and other important events. The Chaplain will:
  • Provide Basic Counseling
  • Provide CISM Assistance
  • Act as IFD Liaison to Community
  • Perform Hospital Visits for members and their families
  • Participate in Community Events
  • Speak at Churches & Youth Meetings
  • Provide Spiritual Guidance when Requested
  • Be a Listening Ear and a Caring Friend
