Thankfully we had no bills vetoed by the Governor this Session. There were 24 bills vetoed and four bills became law without the Governor's signature. Out of the four bills not signed or vetoed, two dealt with the pension legislation for the Austin Fire Fighters (SB 1286) and the Austin PD (SB 1285) and those are effective on September 1, 2011. The Dallas bill providing a leave pool for association business (HB 1057) was signed. Below is a complete list of bills vetoed.
